Phoenix Fire Safety

A web site I designed for a client making use of striking graphical imagery. I worked with the client to understand the site requirements and scope with this simple but effective informative site being the result.

Intandem Logo

I co-designed and built a website for the company as one of my duties whilst working for them. The design work was done as part of a 2 man team. A flash navigation bar was created by myself, coded in ActionScript 3.0 and built in Flash 3.0. The site itself was left to my expertise in html and CSS to code in such a way to comply with accessibility standards and to meet with W3C good practices.

This web site included a php driven news section that could be auto-updated by any non-technical person via a Content Management System that I created.
The site also had a powerful interactive online questionnaire with automated features to appeal to and gather information from prospective clients.

The current website since that which I worked on has been updated but has utilised some of the features and concepts I had put in place. The layout is very similar and use of the same structure for news items has been incorporated. I have also noticed the continued use of RSS feeds which I had first implemented.

E-movies

Designed as the first coursework in the 2nd year of my degree this web site was my first implementation of skills using php and databases to generate content for web sites.

Bose

I designed this web site in the very first term of my degree using EditPlus. Every aspect of the site (xhtml and CSS) was hand coded.

The assignment was to create a promotional site with imagery from a magazine advert using a similar theme and style. The site ran alongside a presentation to be sold to a 'virtual' client.

Disco

This web site was designed in the second term of my degree using Dreamweaver. I experimented with and researched dreamweaver's possibilities before commencing the task. The site was designed around a personalised template.

The assignment was to create a web site based around an area of interest. It would need to inform and offer some examples of multimedia and/or interactivity. It was also a requirement to create a form using either Javascript or Dreamweaver Spry that would validate and be functional.

Other Sites

My inspiration for web design came from designing a site for my entertainments company Starburst Digital Entertainments and from having a significant influence in the initial design of a web site for BASE Karaoke.

I have learned much since the initial design of these web sites but am glad for the experience that re-ignited my design instincts and set me on the path to a career in something that is a passion.
